Customer Review: Beautiful But...

Beautiful pattern, nice heavy plates, didn't care for the style of coffee cup (not to mention the pattern has a totally different look on the cups). However, after using it a few times we discovered some flaws with the patten, some of the berries are black and look more like olives. The worst part is we would like to buy more plates and bowls but you can't find them. I wonder if the pattern is even available.

Corelle Ultra 16-Piece Set, Service for 4, includes 4-each 10-3/4-inchDinner Plates, 8-1/2-inch Salad Plates, 15-ounce Rimmed Soup/CerealBowls, 11-ounce Mugs, RadianceCorelle's Ultra line, seventy percent thicker than the company's other lines of tableware, is so durable that Corelle backs it with a five-year warranty against breaks and chips. The increased thickness adds heft, giving the dinnerware a substantive feel of quality. Ultra still features the compact stacking for which Corelle is famous, and is amazingly tough, considering the product is made of laminated glass.
The Radiance pattern recalls the Tuscan countryside with bands of stucco-like mottled yellow and leafy sprigs of what may be berries or olives. The combination of yellow, red, and green sets a table with earthy warmth. Because the enamel pigments are fired onto the dinnerware, the design won't fade or scratch off over time. This starter set, which can be accessorized with all kinds of serving ware, includes four of each of the following: dinner plate, salad plate, soup or cereal bowl, and mug. For the ultra in convenience, Ultra Radiance is safe in a microwave and dishwasher, and may be used to reheat food in a conventional oven up to 350 degrees F. --Ann Bieri
